Established in 2006, the J. William & Harriet Fulbright Center operates under the motto “peace through education”. Through international education collaborations, the Fulbright Center promotes the late Senator J. William Fulbright's vision of world peace and nonviolent means of conflict resolution. The Center's purpose is to ensure effective engagement in all international collaborations - cultural exchange, teaching abroad and the study of peace. This commitment to peace through education has shaped the Fulbright Center’s work and has served as the inspiration for projects such as the Fulbright Center Teachers Institute and the Global Symposium of Peaceful Nations.
